M.L.K Day Event
< back to EventsEvery January, the nation honors a man known for his courage and non-violent protest philosophy, Martin Luther King, Jr. EHS RA Leucepe at the St. George Residence followed this tradition with a special event in the in-residence screening room, carrying out his vision to create a type of museum about Dr. King Jr. where residents could participate in different ways at the same time.
RA Leucepe showed a documentary and various YouTube clips of MLK’s most well-known speeches, including his most inspiring “I have a Dream” speech, and attendees took part in discussions and shared their own dreams on a large board. As Black History month approaches, hopefully the thoughts expressed at the event will be remembered and shared.
