EHS Residences

Educational Housing Services, Inc. (EHS) is a not-for-profit organization determined to serve institutions, students, faculty and New York City by providing safe and exceptionally comfortable off-campus housing that leverages the best of New York living. We have multiple residences throughout Manhattan and Brooklyn, and we host thousands of students and interns from across the country and around the world each year. Hundreds of thousands of students have lived with EHS to date.

EHS continues to build its student housing capacity through partnerships with top post-secondary institutions throughout New York, as well as private businesses and other institutions. These relationships are custom-tailored to the needs of our partners. From outsourcing housing to EHS, to financial and managerial collaboration in developing new student and faculty housing, we pride ourselves on our ability to innovate and exceed expectations.

Our Residences

The 55 John Street Residence

Located at 55 John Street (between Dutch and Williams Streets) in Manhattan’s Financial District, this residence was completed and opened in August of 2007.   It offers unmatched proximity to all of NYC’s downtown destinations including: TriBeCa, SoHo, Wall Street, the South Street Seaport, Battery Park, the West Side Esplanade and Pace University.

The 1760 Third Avenue Residence

The recently renovated EHS 1760 3rd Avenue Residence is a 19-story hi-rise located on Manhattan’s Upper East Side (at 97th Street). It boasts a 3,500 square foot on-site fitness facility, a large multi-media room, student lounges, and state-of-the-art amenities. Home to over 1,000 residents, 1760 Third Avenue is the top choice among international students.

The Marymount Manhattan Residence

Nestled in a residential neighborhood in the heart of midtown Manhattan (at 231 East 55th Street), the Marymount Manhattan Residence offers lots of light and great views.  Centrally located near Grand Central Station, the UN, the main branch of the New York Public Library, and so much more—residents experience exemplary New York living in the heart of it all. 

The New Yorker Residence

The New Yorker Hotel is located within the iconic New Yorker Hotel just off world-famous Herald Square (at 481 Eighth Avenue at 34th Street). Within walking distance of Times Square, Broadway, Madison Square Garden, Macy’s, and the Empire State Building—this is an ideal location for industrious students on the go.

The St.George Clark Residence

Located at 55 Clark Street in the historical neighborhood of Brooklyn Heights (at Clark and Henry Streets), the St. George Clark Residence is one of the most coveted locations in New York. Connected to the St. George Residence - Weller Building and Studio Building, it occupies the site of the former St. George Hotel. Just one quick subway stop from lower Manhattan, the Clark Residence is home to breathtaking views of the Manhattan skyline.

The St. George Studio Residence

The St. George Studio Residence joins the Weller Building and the newer Clark Residence at the intersection of Clark and Henry Streets in the tree-lined residential neighborhood of Brooklyn Heights. Located on the site of the former St. George Hotel, this residence offers the ultimate student living community and easy access to lower Manhattan and downtown Brooklyn.

The St. George Weller Residence

Located at 100 Henry Street (at Clark Street) in Brooklyn Heights, The St. George Weller Residence shares, along with its sister residences, the Clark Residence and St. George Studio Residence, the block that once housed the famed St. George Hotel. Located just one stop from lower Manhattan, the St. George is within short walking distance of Brooklyn’s best restaurants and shopping as well as the Brooklyn Promenade with its stunning view of Manhattan.
