Football in the park is a traditional event of friendly competition between the St. George and New Yorker residences.
In keeping with the Halloween theme, residents and RAs come together for a scary movie marathon filled with monsters, ghosts, vampires, werewolves and nightmare-inducing scares.
RA Kristy Sharpe takes residents to a Haunted House called Nightmare which is located downtown at the NOHO. This Haunted House is AOL City guide’s No. 1 rated haunted attraction in New York City; it delves deep into the psychology of fear. The tickets are usually priced at $35, but EHS offers them to residents for only $10!
EHS is accepting food donations for the Food Bank of NY. Please help us feed those in need by dropping off any non-perishables to the Student Life Office. Help us reach our goal of 100lbs of food. All donations will be sent to the Food Bank of New York for Thanksgiving Dinners.
We will be taking students to the Vintage Flea Market Fair to buy jewelry, jackets, antiques, and lots more.

Taking place in the St. George Lounge, residents can "dance in the dark" to upbeat Lady Gaga hits while wearing some funky Lady Gaga attire. The person who lasts the longest receives a prize, as does the "Best Gaga look-a-like." This is a star-studded, paparazzi filled, show stopping event!

EHS joins forces with NY Cares to help keep NYC warm. Drop off old, gently-used and laundered coats, as well as any old clothes you would like to donate. Let's lend a helping hand (or sleeve!) to those out in the cold this winter. Also, residents receive a donut when they donate.

Students read their poems in front of everyone and have a talent contest. The students will vote on their favorite poets, and the winner gets a prize.

Residents watch a recent episode of Ru Paul's Drag Race, then have a Drag Queen Contest, and sip on mixed mocktails! A prize is given to the best drag queen. It's a great chance for resident to have a lot of fun while doing something out of the ordinary!
Students will sit at tables with one pie in front of them with their hands behind their backs. Whoever eats the fastest wins.
The RA will make PB&J’s (peanut butter and jelly) with the students.
Students fill out the ballots to pick who they think will win Oscars. There will also be a red carpet outside the screening room, and a showing of the ceremony.
March 1st is the national Pancake Day. RA Lisa is giving IHOP a run for its money by making pancakes for everyone. Residents get to decorate their pancakes with whip cream, fruits, and candy to top of a fun event.

A healthier event for the Candy Land Theme, this program introduces resident to the wonders of the world of smoothies. Students can mix and blend new and unknown flavors.

March is Women’s History month and RA Kristy is helping all the residents make cards for the special women in their life, whether it be their mother, grandmother, sister or just a friend. Let these women know how special they really are!
Students get creative in a friendly competition for the best marshmallow man. In a series of small contests, a winner is declared every twenty minutes. RA Lisa also provides frosting for those who are up for the challenge to building the largest marshmallow tower EHS has ever seen.

Residents learn how to make delicious and healthy snacks. A variety of fruits and vegetables are provided for residents to make a fruit/veggie smoothies.
Inspired by his Soft Pretzel Event, RA Dan teaches students how to make lollipops as well as ribbon candy which is very popular among college students. He shows students how to mix colors to create amazing array of tastes and looks.
