On Monday, December 5th, EHS teamed up with the CUNY Hunter College Nutrition Program to create a Wellness and Food Expo in St. George’s own Chow Kitchen. At the Expo, residents learned how to make fun and easy recipes that would fit their student/intern budget and lifestyle—such as Kale Salad, delicious hummus, tasty edamame, and easy apple sandwiches with almond butter. Hunter representative Dorit Handrus explained that her goal was to make recipes from products that are easy to find at any grocery store and that students would not be intimidated to try.
