EHS Wears Red in Support of Heart Disease Awareness
BROOKLYN, NY (February 4, 2013)–Educational Housing Services, Inc. (EHS)-- the leading provider of private, off-campus student housing in New York City—is banding its residents and staff together this semester to help support the efforts of the American Heart Association.
EHS staff and residents kicked off the fundraiser by wearing red on February 1st to show their support of the fight against heart disease. In addition to taking donations online and throughout the buildings, EHS will also host a bake sale and a raffle, with all proceeds going directly to the AHA.
“Giving back is a big part of what EHS is about,” explains Maria Giraldo, EHS Student Life Coordinator. “The American Heart Association is an organization that is important to us and our residents, and we are glad we are to help them continue their efforts to reduce death caused by heart disease and stroke.”
Educational Housing Services supports a different charity every semester. Donations to the American Heart Association can be made online through EHS’ fundraiser at bit.ly/EHSwearsREDor directly on the American Heart Association website at http://www.heart.org.
