To report a Hazardous Material Incident:

  • Indicate whether there is an emergency and whether anyone was exposed to hazardous material.

  • Provide the name of the hazardous material and details about the incident.

  • Provide your name, location, and telephone number.

  • Provide location of hazardous material.

  • Should you feel the need to evacuate, do not hesitate and use the NEAREST EXIT.

  • Do not attempt to clean up a hazardous spill.

  • If you are the victim of a hazardous material incident, seek medical attention immediately.

  • Use eye washes and safety showers in the area.

Remember!

  • Close all doors to isolate the area.

  • Evacuate/clear the area.

  • You and those around you may be contaminated. If you suspect contamination, do not leave the site until you are cleared by emergency response personnel.

  • Do not hesitate to contact the Department of Public Safety if you come across any type of suspicious material or substance.
