Compensation & Agreement
Employment Agreement
Resident Advisors will be placed in an area determined by Educational Housing Services. Staff may be reassigned at anytime. Single rooms are not guaranteed for anyone and can be changed during the semester to other room types.
RA rooms will be used as tour rooms during the entire semester. Therefore, RAs are responsible for maintaining a clean and organized room. EHS staff will inform a RA when there is a tour, but keep in mind that we have last minute tours that we have to accommodate.
Failure to meet any expectations or responsibilities within this document will be grounds for disciplinary action, which may include warning, probation and termination. Any RA who is terminated from his/her position must vacate his/her current room in the time determined by all their supervisors and will be financially responsible for the prorated remainder of the residence cost.
Resident Advisors will not attend school for more than 15 credit hours and will not work more than 12 hours per week at an outside job/internship without prior approval from all their supervisors.
RAs will have at least 15 hours a week to work in the Student Life Office (this does not include duty nights, training and events)
Compensation
RA pay varies per building and amount of hours. EHS reserves the right to change RA compensation at any time during the semester.
RA compensation includes a resident space, free of charge, and a stipend of $960 per month. The resident space may be occupied by the RA only. No spouses, children, roommates, partners, friends or family members may reside with the RA. Also, no pets of any kind are allowed in the resident space.
Resident Advisors work an average of 60 office hours per calendar month in the Student Life Office (day and night office hours vary per building), plus any duty nights, weekend coverage and programming guidelines depending on the needs of the building and staff. A RA will also work at least 15 hrs per week (schedule varies per building).
