REQUIREMENTS - Do you qualify to become an EHS RA?
The preferred candidates possess excellent interpersonal skills, strong organizational and analytical skills, an ability to communicate with a variety of people in group and individual settings, leadership abilities, a high degree of maturity, an ability to show sensitivity toward others, willingness to be open and honest, and the capacity to appreciate and respect differences within our community.
Candidates should also fulfill the below requirements:
Currently enrolled in a higher education institution as a full time student or as a part time student with a valid part time internship (proof of part time internship is required on the company letterhead and with the dates of internship).
Please note that for the summer semester you do not need to be a Full Time or Part Time student to apply for the position, nor have an internship. However, if you wish to continue for the fall and spring semesters you need to either be a full time student or a part time student with an internship (proof of internship will be needed for all semesters).t
Must be eligible to work in the United States, proof of employment eligibility will be required upon submission of application. If you are an international student, you will first need to speak with your school and receive a written notice stating that they will allow you to work as a Resident Advisor as part of your education program. This letter will need to be submitted with your RA application. In addition, you will need to have all the required paperwork required to work in the United States upon applying for the position.
You must have a minimum of 2.80 GPA and provide official/unofficial transcripts with your application (these can be PDF versions and/or screen shots, but must be uploaded with your application).
Be in good financial standing with your current school and Educational Housing Services.
Have no active record of college and residence disciplinary action (with your school and Educational Housing Services).
Have completed (1) one semester of living with EHS by May 2025.
Be available to work at least 15 office hours a week plus extra time needed for events and building turnover. RAs are expected to work weekends and nights shifts (Schedules vary per residence).
Must have a personal working cell phone, e-mail.
In addition to the above requirements, applicants must be available for the below dates:
Group Process Session: Saturday, March 1st from 9am to 5pm at the St. George Towers (leaving early will disqualify you from the position).
Interview Day: Sunday, March 2nd beginning at 9am (at the New Yorker Residence).
If hired, available to work on Check-in Day TBD.
If hired, attend all required (unpaid) training sessions as outlined in the staff agreement (e.g. training, regular in-services, staff outings). Please be advised that by not attending the trainings you will be removed from the RA position:
- Saturday, May 3rd from 9am to 6pm
- Sunday, May 4th from 9pm to 6pm
- One day in building training, dates and times vary per residence
Schedule and attend a minimum of two day and two night shifts, where you shadow a current RA by Friday, May 9th, 2025.

Only applications submitted by 5:00pm on Friday, February 7th, 2025 will be considered.
REFERENCES
Making sure that we received your references on time is YOUR responsibility. All references must be submitted directly to us and by completing the EHS reference form. If you have the contact information of your references, you can enter them in the RA Application (under the reference section) and the system will automatically send them the reference form. However, if you do not have their contact information by the time you are completing the application you can or share this link with EHS RA Reference Form.
Every applicant is required to provide two (2) references;
One (1) personal (someone other than a relative).
One (1) professional (professors, coaches, current or former employer).
Please note that recommendations submitted by an EHS staff member will not be considered.
