I roomed here for summer housing. I lived in a normal size, unlofted triple for 10 weeks, which cost $4000. I did not know anybody before coming into the city to sublet with, so I was referred to using EHS. I think it was a good decision, since the dorm style living made it easy to meet a lot of people my age (college rising junior). It has large lobbies, rooms for reservations, and a kitchen that people leave communal stuff in. The biggest drawback is maintenance. The elevators were frequently broken and some laundry machines didn’t work. Our room had a leak in the ceiling. I also think it’s cheaper to sublet somewhere else, and you’d be able to get a separate area with your roommates. However, I would choose to live here again next year if I needed to be in NYC. It’s a really nice area and right next to a subway station, the promenade, and Brooklyn bridge. The dorm style made it really easy to make new friends, which was the most valuable to me as someone coming in to the city alone.
very big, we enjoyed it thoroughly 🥜
Loved being here! A few doors down from the Clark St. station, which is super convenient. Nice area to walk around in. There are convenient stores not far. They even had events like a mocktail paint and sip! I would totally recommend
EHS at St. George Towers Residence has been a great experience. The staff there are extraordinary friendly and helpful and always made me feel safe. I loved the different activities that were hosted and I loved all the opportunities to make new friends! I truly miss it!
Had a great time at EHS - the RA’s were super cool decorating our halls, answering questions, and I loved our monthly activities (slime was my favorite). The study rooms, TV rooms, and kitchen are all pretty nice with a great view of the Empire State Building. I spent many nights perfecting my 8 ball. I also got lucky with my room shoutout 1739! It’s in a great part of the city, with great amenities and cool people. Would totally recommend as long as you don’t mind living in a smaller space.
I lived here at EHS New Yorker for a year and a half and had a wonderful time, the lobby was very welcoming and security was great! The rooms themselves were nice and whenever there was an issue EHS was very fast to fix whatever was needed. Would highly recommend for anyone who is looking for a dorm experience in the city.
The rooms were usually very clean prior to move in, staff is always nice, maintenance was usually done in a timely manner. Great, cheap dorm for college students
Loved the stay! Very Helpful RA's. This was my home away from home
I lived here for all my time in NYC. If you are looking for convenience this is the place to be. You will have the opportunity to make good friends as well
I’ve had a very nice experience, I was welcomed when I first arrived, they took my bags and had my id card ready for me! The building and my dorm are nice, in a great location. Also the bathroom and shower are always kept clean, laundry is easily accessible!
Quick and polite
Had a great experience checking in, quick and easy and had a good time signing in. I wish the paper given to me was more readily available and that a wider building tour was given to find things easier, overall a great experience and I felt warmly welcomed
Amazing place to live!
As a student and intern, you can’t do better than EHS. The staff is kind, the space is clean, and the area is safe. I can’t imagine experiencing NYC another way. It means everything to have a safe and quality place to live.
Great place to live! Kind staff, great location. Perfect for students and interns.
The EHS East Village Residence was an amazing experience this summer! The room and amenities were in great condition, the staff and security were very helpful, and the location was a perfect spot in the East Village. I loved every moment of it and miss it already! Thank you EHS.
I had to come onto Google reviews to speak highly of my experience at EHS for a second time. After living in the city for three months, there is no other place that I could suggest to someone more for student housing. For starters, the location is in one of the best possible spots for anyone who is new to the city and is learning to navigate the MTA. Secondly, the EHS staff are kind and attentive. Thirdly, the security is top-notch. There was never a time during my stay when I felt unsafe. When I look back at my time spent in the city, EHS will always hold a place in my fond memories of my time in the city.
Spent Summer 2025 in 55 John Street location and had a great experience. Located right next to subway station, about half a block away that easily takes you to midtown area. also less than a 10 minute walk to Brooklyn bridge. Enjoyed meeting other interns in the building!
Good place for the summer! The maintenance was very responsive when needed. Pretty clean and felt safe with door man and card readers. I enjoyed the triple with friends and never too loud at night
I recently spent time at St. George Towers on EHS, and I couldn't be more pleased. from the second that I got there, it was terrific.
Where it's at, it can't be beaten. Brooklyn Heights is elegant, historic, and woefully tranquil. You are next to the 1 train, museums, shops, restaurants, all that you would want in NYC without being in the noisy middle of Midtown constantly.
Facilities and amenities are also well looked after with some contemporary additions. There is a gym, laundry space, common study spaces, and good and fast WiFi everywhere. Everything that you might need for study or work is there.
And the room was also well furnished with reasonable quality fundamentals like a study desk, bed, and storage area, so I did not need to get worried about getting heavy furniture.
The staff, since I had arrived, have been professional and welcoming. Any issue would be resolved right away. The building also has student life activities, which allow residents like me to get to know other individuals and become close, always a plus while staying in a big city like NYC.
It is also wonderful to note that since there are a lot of students and interns around, it becomes a community setting. The security like key entry, 24-hour reception, and staff gave me a sense of security
If you're looking for NYC intern/student housing and want something convenient, communal, and comfortable, St. George Towers is a very good choice. You get the benefit of being in one of the best areas of the city without sacrificing the amenities that you need, and the management strive to make it homely and safe. Highly recommended for sure.
EHS East Village Residence was great for the summer! The rooms and amenities were in great condition and is in a pretty central location in the city. Security was also always at the front desk which made for a safer experience!
I had such an amazing time at EHS. During my entire internship, the offered me constant support. The staff was lovely and was always accommodating to my needs. If I happen to have another internship in New York, I pray it's with EHS <3.
I had a great experience with EHS housing and I highly recommend it!
Loved my experience with EHS!! Brooklyn Heights is the best location btw
